Sarah Lewis, LCSW

Sarah Lewis is a License Clinical Social Worker who has been working with athletes for over 25 years. She specializes in helping these athletes in school, club, university, and professional sports settings manage the demands of being mentally prepared and fit. She believes athletes can have the same level of mental fitness that they do in their physical fitness. Sarah was a 3-season - 2 sport athlete in college and spent one-year playing international basketball while in college. She not only has personal experience as a collegiate athlete but her daughter plays D1 lacrosse and is currently on the U20 World Cup Squad for the England National Team. Shannon Noe, LPC

Shannon Noe is a licensed professional counselor who has been working with youth, parents, and families for 15 years.  She is currently working with clients in her own private practice and has a special interest in helping youth, young adults, and caregivers become the best versions of themselves.  Shannon is especially interested in helping athletes become just as strong mentally as they are physically.  Shannon has been an athlete longer than she has been a counselor and understands the athlete mentally in an authentic way through her own experiences.  Shannon was a 7 time Virginia High School League state champion in cross county, indoor track, and outdoor track events.  She went on to set the 10k school record at JMU and competed in 5 NCAA National Championships in Cross County and Outdoor Track.  In recognition of her achievements, Shannon was inducted into the JMU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018.  After college, Shannon ran 4 marathons and pushed her three sons all over Charlottesville in a running stroller that logged more miles than her car most days.
